I grew up in New Jersey, where travelling to The Big Apple to see a Broadway show was a once per year treat! I was hooked from the very first overture! This incredibly shy little girl wanted nothing more than to perform on a stage! After overcoming that shyness, a career as a teacher in The Bahamas, 16 years of being a stay at home mom, and a move to South Florida, that dream finally became a reality. You see? It’s never too late to follow your dreams! Now my nest is empty and this “Singing Mama” is ready to spread her wings and will happily travel wherever the acting road leads, including film and television.

 

People always ask you “What’s your favorite role or show that you have ever done?” Are they kidding? That’s like asking you to pick your favorite child! I always answer, the one I am working on now, because there is nothing I love more than the process of creating art with amazingly talented people.  Watching a show come together, bit by bit, with everyone doing their part…there is nothing like it.  It’s truly magical.

 

Of course, I do have some favorite memories, and here are just a few…Nettie Fowler in Carousel, Mother Superior in Sister Act, Violet Newstead in 9 to 5, Victoria Grant in Victor Victoria, and The Duchess Estonia Dulworth in Nice Work If You Can Get It!  I can’t wait to make some more favorite memories and I hope you will be part of them!

 

When I am not on a stage, you can find me working in my garden, baking, cooking, or making ice cream in my kitchen, crafting a cocktail (I’m famous for my cosmos), doing something crafty or wielding an electric drill for some handy work around the house. I am also constantly finding new ways to help save this planet, because it’s the only one we have and we need to treat it better. Won’t you join me?
